Founded in 1990, De Soto Sport has established itself as one of the most visible brands of apparel at any triathlon around the world. The San Diego-based company, founded by former pro triathlete Emilio De Soto II, leverages experience dating back to 1980 in international triathlon and endurance sports competition into every product it creates.

More than 98% of all De Soto products are made in the USA. In 2017, the company, keeping innovation at the forefront, introduced its series of trisuits with a "fli" for men, in the "Flisuit," and a "Sneak-a-Poo" Femme trisuit, both of which were well-received and continue to be the only bathroom-friendly trisuits on the market.

The Solana Run short is made specifically for running. It features storage pockets, a waistband for adjustability, and a moisture-wicking, cooling brief liner. It doubles as a great gym short worn over compression shorts or tights. The fashionable surf-like style works well in the water with a durable, lightweight woven outer, making it suitable for a variety of activities such as running, surfing, gym/crossfit workouts, hiking, or swimming.

The funnel pockets are made of a non-rip mesh, sealed with velcro, allowing you to carry your items with confidence. The 7-inch inseam on a size M provides a modest thigh length, and if you're looking for a shorter version, you can check out the Tuesday Run Short (TRS1) with a 3.5-inch inseam on size M.

The full-sided, loose-fit short allows for a full range of motion, and the elastic waistband and drawstring provide adjustability. The Micro Surf body is lightweight, super soft, and extremely durable, while the Skin Cooler SDS moisture-wicking brief liner will keep you cool on hot days.

The products are available in Black, Red, and Royal colors, and they offer Skin Cooler 90 UVB sun protection. It is crucial to use a sunscreen with the appropriate UVA-protecting ingredients, as the Skin Cooler 90 rating refers only to UVB protection.

Skin Cooler works by a series of channels knitted into the light fabric. As these channels get wet, they absorb moisture and swell, dissipating the heat and creating a cooling effect. Skin Cooler 90 offers this cooling effect while providing even more sun protection.

The fabrics developed by De Soto are not treated with any "enhancing" chemicals, ensuring they will not be harmful to your body and will perform as described for the entire life of the garment. The Micro Surf outer woven fabric is softer than the finest Egyptian cottons, while offering a strong material that is difficult to rip or wear out.
